LSRParts

Custom Silicone Membranes Manufacturer

When fluid control, pressure regulation, or sealing systems fail, the entire application stops working. For OEMs and engineering teams developing pumps, valves, and sensors, the silicone membrane is often the most critical component in the assembly.

LSRParts manufactures custom silicone membranes designed for precise flex life, dimensional stability, and chemical resistance. We support your engineering team from early Design for Manufacturability (DFM) review through material selection, tooling, and high-volume mass production. Whether you need a simple flat diaphragm or a complex overmolded membrane, we build components that meet your exact functional requirements.

Precision Silicone Membranes Built for Your Application

A reliable membrane starts long before the mold is cut. Our engineering team reviews your CAD files to evaluate wall thickness, flex points, draft angles, and sealing features. By identifying potential manufacturing risks early, we give you a clear path from prototype validation to stable, repeatable mass production.

Pumps & Valves

Diaphragms for micro-pumps, check valves, and dispensing systems requiring consistent actuation and high flex life.

Medical Devices

Fluid control membranes, respiratory valves, and septa requiring biocompatibility and precision tolerances.

Automotive & EV

Pressure relief valves, sensor isolation membranes, and fluid regulation components designed for extreme temperatures and chemical exposure.

Industrial Sensors

Protective membranes for pressure sensors and transducers requiring accurate signal transfer and environmental protection.

Manufacturing Capabilities for Silicone Membranes

Depending on your membrane's geometry, tolerance requirements, and production volume, we utilize the most appropriate manufacturing method to ensure quality and cost-efficiency.

Liquid Silicone Rubber (LSR) Injection Molding

For high-volume production and complex geometries, LSR injection molding provides tight tolerances and excellent part-to-part repeatability. This process is ideal for thin-walled membranes and components requiring consistent dynamic performance.

Parameter LSRParts Capability
ProcessLiquid Silicone Rubber Injection Molding
Silicone Hardness10–80 Shore A
Typical Part Tolerance±0.05 mm
Critical ToleranceDown to ±0.02 mm (application dependent)
Mold Manufacturing Tolerance±0.01 mm
Part-to-Part RepeatabilityApprox. ±0.1 mm (geometry dependent)
Production Mold Life3–5 million shots
Tooling TypePrototype Tooling / Production Tooling
Production ScalePrototype → High-volume mass production

LSR Overmolding for Reinforced Membranes

When a membrane requires structural rigidity or needs to be integrated directly into a housing, LSR overmolding eliminates secondary assembly steps and provides a leak-proof chemical or mechanical bond. We overmold silicone onto plastic substrates (PC, PA, PBT, PPSU) and metals (Aluminum, Stainless Steel, Brass).

Parameter LSR Overmolding Capability
Mold Tolerance±0.01 mm
Typical Part Tolerance±0.05 mm
Plastic SubstratesPC, PA, PBT, PPSU, PPA, PEI
Metal SubstratesAluminum, Stainless Steel, Brass, Copper
Bonding StrategyChemical / Mechanical bonding
Mold CavitiesSingle / Multi-cavity

Silicone Compression Molding

For larger membranes or lower-volume production runs where tooling costs need to be minimized, compression molding offers a practical solution.

Parameter Compression Molding Capability
Typical Part Tolerance±0.2 mm
Small Part Mold Cavity Tolerance±0.1–0.2 mm
Complex Part Mold Cavity Tolerance±0.3–0.5 mm
Part-to-Part RepeatabilityApprox. ±0.1 mm
Mold LifeUp to 3–5 million shots

Material Selection for Functional Performance

The performance of a silicone membrane depends entirely on selecting the right compound for the operating environment. We help you navigate material specifications to ensure your membrane withstands the required cycles, temperatures, and fluid exposures.

Material Target Applications for Membranes
General Purpose LSRIndustrial fluid control, standard pressure regulation
Medical Grade LSRMedical devices, biocompatible fluid paths
Food Grade LSRBeverage dispensing, food processing valves
Platinum-Cured SiliconeHigh-purity medical and food contact
FluorosiliconeAutomotive, fuel, and harsh chemical exposure
High-Temperature SiliconeHigh-heat industrial processes, automotive
Low-Temperature SiliconeOutdoor applications, extreme cold environments

From DFM to Mass Production: Our Workflow

We focus on programs transitioning from prototype to high-volume production (typically 100,000+ pieces annually). Rapid tooling and efficient project management mean you can validate designs faster and move into mass production without delays.

01

DFM Review

We analyze your 3D files to optimize geometry for moldability, reducing the risk of flash, tearing, or uneven wall thickness.

02

Material Selection

Matching your performance criteria with the right silicone compound.

03

Mold Design & Tooling

In-house CNC and EDM capabilities allow us to build precision molds. Prototype tool lead times benchmark at approximately 10–12 days, helping you test physical parts sooner. Production tooling benchmarks at 3–6 weeks.

04

T0/T1 Sampling & Validation

First articles for your engineering team to test in the actual assembly.

05

Mass Production & Secondary Operations

We support post-curing, precision trimming, die cutting, slitting (X/Y and valve slitting), and final inspection to deliver a ready-to-install component.
